Congressman Cassidy will host Dyslexia seminar | Events
Congressman Bill Cassidy and his wife, Dr. Laura Cassidy along with the Southern University College of Education, Arts and Humanities will host a Dyslexia Awareness Seminar on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
The event will talk about the challenges of dyslexia and how to help those with the condition. The Cassidys' daughter has Dyslexia. The learning disability affects one in five people.
It will be held in the Agricultural Research and Extension Center in the Assembly Hall, Room 191 at Southern University. Other speakers will also participate.
There will be a screening of HBO’s “The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia."
