Metro Council discuses crime cameras
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- It's a topic that's become a headache for the Baton Rouge Police Department and even the metro council: crime cameras.
The surveillance system includes more than 100 cameras within the city and East Baton Rouge Parish. Since the contract to maintain these cameras has expired, other companies have been trying to win the contract.
But now, city police say they may no longer need a company for maintenance. Why? WAFB's Kiran Chawla is at the metro council meeting and will have that, plus the latest on the issue.
