The 39th Annual Bayou Classic was held on Nov. 24 as Southern University beat Grambling State University 38-33 at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

The win ends a four-year losing streak.  In addition to the game,  there were a host of activities including the Battle of the Bands and Greek Show, a Coaches' luncheon, the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus jazz brunch, and a gospel brunch.

More than 200,000 were expected to visit New Orleans over the weekend.
